A: It takes a few strokes to get the idea. The 45 degree angle of the shells makes it a comfortable “playground” and a perfect fit for playing on your laps.

Q: Is the ECLIPSE loud enough to play with other instruments ?

A: This drum can get pretty loud. We specially designed our drum to reach high volumes by combining our steel with the wright shaping and proper tuning.

Q: Is the central note also tuned?

A: Yes, it usually represents the lowest tone in the scale. It has more bass to it and sounds just perfect when combined with the higher and sharper sound of the tongues.

Q: What is the purpose of the black rubber stripe ?

A: It is there to protect the sides of the drum and for other acoustic reasons.

Q: Can the ECLIPSE drum get out of tune?

A: The ECLIPSE is made of a strong steel but... as all musical instruments, if not treated with care, the tuning might be ruined. all buyers receive a maintainence guide with the drum If your ECLIPSE did get out of tune, 1TONE guarantees a FREE retuning. ( not including shipping charges )
